Terms of use: the almanac is editorial-only, not a ludo operator.
The almanac does not run a ludo platform, does not accept deposits, and does not pay out winnings. The almanac publishes rule briefs, dice-math chapters and platform comparison pages for Indian readers who want to read the rules before they roll. This page sets out the legal terms that govern the reader's use of the almanac itself; the reader's relationship with any third-party app the almanac links to is governed by that app's own terms.

Plain-English summary
By opening a chapter on the almanac, the reader agrees to read the almanac as a published reference work, not as an offer to play, an invitation to deposit, or financial advice. The almanac is editorial-only; the chapter pages describe rules and figures, they do not provide a wallet, a cashier, or a contest entry form.
Read this page in two passes. Section 03 explains the editorial-only scope. Section 04 lists the Indian laws the almanac complies with, including the MeitY online gaming rules and the Public Online Gambling (PROG) Act 2025. Section 06 sets out the limit on the almanac's liability for any loss a reader incurs on a third-party app.

What the reader agrees to by opening a chapter
Acceptance
By opening any chapter on the almanac, the reader confirms that the reader is at least eighteen years old, that the reader is reading the almanac from a state in which Indian federal law and the reader's state law both permit the reader to read editorial coverage of real-money gaming, and that the reader has read the terms below.
The almanac does not require the reader to register an account, does not require the reader to provide an email, and does not require the reader to install a cookie-banner consent string. The almanac's compliance posture is the page you are reading now.
Reservation
The almanac reserves the right to decline a reader's continued use of the almanac if the reader scrapes the almanac, republishes the almanac's chapters without attribution, republishes the almanac's editorial imagery without attribution, or attempts to use the almanac's outbound links to bypass a third-party app's own state-restriction controls.
The almanac does not gate chapters behind a paywall or login, but the almanac can rate-limit a reader or block a reader's IP from any chapter if the almanac detects scraping, credential-stuffing, or other abusive traffic.
03 · Editorial-only service
What the almanac does, and what it does not do
The almanac is a publication. The almanac is a research desk. The almanac is not a real-money gaming operator, not a payment service provider, not a wallet operator, not a KYC processor, and not a contest organiser. Where the almanac links to a third-party app or signup page, the link is offered for the reader's convenience, marked rel="sponsored nofollow noopener noreferrer", and disclaims endorsement.
The chapter figures (dice odds, payout percentages, bonus multipliers) are written from public rule cards and published bonus terms. Figures carry a last-verified date. Where a figure changes, the almanac revises the chapter; the prior figure is dropped from the body and remains in the colophon revision history only.
04 · Indian real-money gaming law
MeitY, PROG Act 2025, state-level rules
Federal framework
The almanac respects the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 as amended by the MeitY online gaming rules, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020, the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) code on real-money gaming, and the Public Online Gambling (PROG) Act 2025 once that Act is notified. The almanac carries the MeitY and PROG Act 2025 references in the compliance strip above the fold on every chapter; the references are also linked from the chapter footer.
The almanac does not publish content that promotes real-money gaming to minors, that targets readers in restricted states, or that disguises a wager as a "free" prize. Each chapter that links to a third-party app carries an 18+ and financial-risk reminder in plain prose above the link.
State-level rules
State-level rules vary. State laws in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, and any state the Public Online Gambling (PROG) Act 2025 names as restricted, restrict or prohibit real-money online gaming. The almanac does not instruct a reader to evade a state rule, does not advise the use of a VPN to access a real-money app from a restricted state, and does not host state-restricted signup routing.
The almanac's chapter on whether real-money ludo is legal in India (is-legal chapter) carries the current state-by-state reading, with the last-verified date on every state entry. Where a state amends its rule, the almanac revises the chapter within thirty days of a published gazette copy.
05 · Intellectual property
Who owns the chapters, the imagery, the figures
The almanac chapters are written by the editorial desk and are copyrighted to Ludotoday. A reader is welcome to quote a chapter under fair-dealing for the purposes of criticism, review, or news reporting, in line with Section 52 of the Indian Copyright Act 1957. A reader is not welcome to scrape the entire almanac, republish a chapter on a third-party site as if it were the third-party site's own work, or translate a chapter without attribution.
The chapter editorial imagery is generated for Ludotoday and is copyrighted to Ludotoday. Ludo board designs and rule descriptions are taken from public rule cards and are not claimed by the almanac as original work; readers who own the underlying rule-card copyright should write to the customer-care desk if the almanac's coverage misattributes a card or rule.
Third-party trademarks (ludo platform names, app names, studio names) are referenced for editorial purposes only; the almanac does not claim any affiliation with or endorsement by those trademark holders.
06 · Limitation of liability
What the almanac does not stand behind
Figures, rule cards, third-party terms
Chapter figures are verified at the time of publication, but the almanac cannot guarantee that a figure remains current after the chapter's last-verified date. A reader who relies on a chapter figure to make a wager is responsible for checking the third-party app's published rule card before wagering. The almanac is not liable for any loss a reader incurs on a third-party app, including any loss arising from a discrepancy between a chapter figure and the app's then-current rule card.
Where a chapter figure is materially wrong, the almanac revises the chapter and updates the last-verified date; readers who believe a figure is wrong are encouraged to write to the customer-care desk with the chapter URL and the corrected figure.
Service availability, third-party links
The almanac aims for four-nines uptime but does not guarantee continuous availability. The almanac is not liable for any loss a reader incurs because the almanac was unavailable at the moment the reader wanted to consult a chapter. The almanac is not liable for the practices of any third-party app or signup page the almanac links to; the reader's relationship with that app is governed by that app's terms.
Nothing in this section is intended to exclude liability that Indian law does not allow to be excluded, including liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability the Indian Consumer Protection Act 2019 makes non-excludable.
07 · Changes to these terms
How the almanac revises this page
Where Indian federal or state law changes, the almanac revises this page; the last-updated date at the top of this page is the latest revision. Where a revision is editorial (a typo, a clearer sentence), the almanac revises without a banner. Where a revision is legal (a new compliance obligation), the almanac revises and adds a brief change note at the top of the chapter for the next thirty days.
Readers who want a copy of the prior version of this page should write to the customer-care desk with the request; the almanac retains the prior version in the colophon archive and can send a copy on request.
